Teach your students to blend 2 letter VC words with these hands-on dinosaur themed games and activities. Perfect for early or struggling readers! What’s more, the resources are low-prep and provided in color and B/W!
Included are:
•VC word cards and a page of ideas for games/activities.
•VC word fans (Laminate, cut out and fasten using a brad or treasury tag). Children hold up the correct letters to make given VC words.
•VC word craft pages to decorate using paint, pens, sequins, etc. These pages could also be laminated and children could make the words using dough.
•Also included are games and activities containing all of the VC words:
•I Spy game –search for and read tiny VC words using a magnifying glass
•Roll and Read game –roll the die and read the VC words in the matching row
•VC word board game – make your way around the board, saying the words as you go!
•Match magnetic letters to VC words chart
•VC word Race game– 4 player game: take turns to roll the die & say the word which you land on. Who will reach the end first?
