French Months Vocabulary Google Forms

Use this self-checking and editable digital activity as a formative assessment with your beginner French students and months of the year vocabulary. This is a great way to know your students’ understanding of les mois de l’année. Or, use this Google Form™ as in-class practice, station work, or as a homework assignment to check where students are with their vocabulary comprehension.

What exactly is this resource?

This is not a French-English translation practice; rather, students will be applying, synthesizing, and writing in this Google Forms™ activity. You will be able to see how students truly comprehend the vocabulary.

This Google Drive digital resource is editable and set to grade all 25 questions automatically. All questions are in French and presented as images to prevent the use of automatic translators. This digital activity can be used in the classroom or via distance learning.

Students will:
-Look at a list of French words, choose which are months of the year
-Choose the month/s that best complete the series
-Choose which month comes after the month given
-Put the months in a sequential order

-Write the month/s that best complete the series

*Students will need to know how to type accents (é, û).

*Each question is shown as an image = prevents students from using the automatic translator.*

How this resource works:

This is an editable activity designed in Google Forms. It is set to be self-checking. You can add questions of your own to the activity or delete any questions you do not want to use. You can also change the answer type if desired (short answer, multiple-choice, etc.) or switch the order of the questions.

After you download the activity, you will receive a PDF with instructions on how to download this file to your Google Drive and how to share with students. You and your students must have a free Google account in order to access the activity.

This activity can be shared with students through email, Google Classroom, Moodle, etc. Although this activity can be printed from Google Drive, a printed copy of this activity is not included in the download. The download is a PDF instruction sheet with a link to the digital activity.

We wanted to make the digital task cards available in a different format for more practice with months vocabulary. You could use the Boom Cards™ as practice and this Google Drive activity as a homework assignment or assessment.

Boom Cards™ are digital and work on just about any device. You do not need to print anything out. They are self-checking and can be used individually, in groups or as a class on an interactive board. Students receive immediate feedback; you can track their progress if desired.
